TABLE OF CONTENTS
Overview
This article describes the updates made in this release for the new requirements checklist feature. As a part of this enhancement, a new Requirements Checklist page was added to FedConnect in this release. This page displays ONLY when a requirements checklist is available (to say it another way, when it was included in the opportunity that was transmitted to FedConnect from the agency's procurement system). Requirements checklists provide a way for vendors and applicants to ensure that they have submitted a complete and compliant proposal. This reduces the risk of disqualification due to missing components of a government proposal. It also improves efficiency for the agency when they review submissions.
New Requirements Checklist Page
As stated above, the Requirements Checklist page is new in this release, and displays only when a requirements checklist was included by the agency when they posted an opportunity. To say it another way, not all opportunities will have a requirements checklist. And when an opportunity does not have a requirements checklist, the Requirements Checklist page does not display.
The table on the Requirements Checklist page lists the agency's requirements for vendors or applicants that want to submit a proposal for the opportunity. The table lists each one of the requirements that the agency put together in their procurement software system and then sent to FedConnect along when they posted the opportunity.
Navigation
To see the new Requirements Checklist page, follow these steps*:
- Sign in to FedConnect.
- Click All Opportunities. The All Opportunities page displays.
- In the Title column, click the link for the opportunity you want to open. The Opportunity [Summary] page displays.
- If you are not already a member of the response team, click Join in the Response Team section. If you are already a member of the response team, continue to Step 5.
- In the Response Team section, click Add Response (alternatively, you can also click the As Solicited link in the Description column for an existing, in progress response). The Cover Page page displays.
- Click Requirements Checklist. The Requirements Checklist page displays. *
* These steps assume you already know which opportunities will include a requirements checklist. Use the above list of steps with the knowledge that finding an opportunity with a requirements checklist depends entirely upon whether one was included in the opportunity when it was posted by the agency in the first place. In other words, IF an opportunity includes a requirements checklist, then the Requirements Checklist will display in the opportunity-related FedConnect pages, and the steps above are the steps you can use to use to get to it.
The following picture illustrates how the new Requirements Checklist page might look. Your results might vary.
Marking Completed Checklist Items
There are two columns that display in the table on the Requirements Checklist page:
- The Completed column
- The Checklist column
Select the check boxes in the Completed column for each item in the checklist that you have completed the required tasks or fulfilled the obligations. When you submit the proposal to the agency, FedConnect includes the checklist information.
The Checklist column displays the list of the requirements that the agency wrote up in their procurement software system and then transmitted to FedConnect. These are the actions or obligations required by the agency in order for you to qualify to submit a proposal and avoid being rejected by the agency.
