Overview

Now, in this release, the FedConnect confirmation number that displays in FedConnect when a bid is submitted will be considered a unique FedConnect bid ID. That unique bid ID will be sent to FedConnect's sister product, PRISM, which is used by federal agencies to aid in the procurement process. FedConnect bids received in PRISM will have this unique FedConnect bid ID so that vendors and agency employees can communicate clearly and efficiently when discussing solicitation bids submitted in FedConnect.

The following picture illustrates how it might look after you submit a bid response and the Confirmation page displays. The information in the Confirmation Number field is what FedConnect sends to PRISM as the unique FedConnect bid ID.
