Overview
This article describes the fixes made in this release for vendor registration in FedConnect.
UEI Saved With Lowercase Letters After Vendor Registration
Summary and Resolution
When vendors registered for FedConnect and entered their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) in all lowercase letters, the system stored the UEI in all lowercase letters in the database. This was incorrect and the system should have stored the UEI in all uppercase letters regardless of how the vendor entered the UEI during registration.
This issue is resolved, and now even if you type all lowercase letters or a combination of lowercase and uppercase letters for the UEI, the system correctly stores the vendor UEI as all uppercase letters.
Prerequisites
The vendor attempting FedConnect registration has not yet registered in FedConnect
Steps to Recreate
- Navigate to FedConnect and click Register for Free Account.
- Type the UEI in all lowercase letters.
- Do NOT record a DUNS or EFT.
- Complete all required fields.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and enter the vendor MPIN value for SAM.
Results
You are successfully registered with FedConnect and the UEI is stored in the database in all uppercase letters.
