A UEI (Unique Entity Identifier) is a unique twelve-digit alphanumeric code that is used to identify your organization. The UEI value is assigned by SAM.gov upon registration of your company. If you are unsure of what your SAM.gov UEI is, please ask your senior management for assistance, or locate the number on your SAM.gov account.

Important

The SAM UEI is replacing the previously-used DUNS number as the unique entity identifier in SAM.gov. UEI's have been assigned to companies in SAM.gov, and the DUNS will be fully deprecated as of April 2022.

If your organization does not have a UEI number, you will need to register your company with SAM.gov. There is also additional information available on the General Services Administration and SAM.gov website.
